We prepared the shop drawings for air conditioning, kitchen ventilation, water supply, drainage and fire protection, then merged them into composite coordination drawings with the architectural ceiling and kitchen to resolve clashes before construction. Work ran from February to April 2026 and the drawings were issued at Rev01. It is a typical restaurant MEP job where many systems share space above decorative ceilings and a commercial kitchen.<\/p>\n<h2>The Challenge<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A 153 m\u00b2 commercial kitchen needing balanced extraction and ventilation<\/li>\n<li>Decorative ceilings (straw, timber, fabric) limiting space for ducts and pipes<\/li>\n<li>Kitchen drainage needing a grease interceptor, plus a large restroom block (3 WCs, 3 urinals)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Our Scope<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>HVAC: ducted fan coil units (583, 1,130 and 1,518 CFM) and split units (492 and 589 CFM) with five condensing units and refrigerant piping<\/li>\n<li>Kitchen ventilation with supply and extract layouts<\/li>\n<li>Water supply for the kitchen and restrooms<\/li>\n<li>Drainage: kitchen, restrooms and infrastructure works with a grease interceptor and a 5 L\/s submersible pump<\/li>\n<li>Fire fighting for the infrastructure works<\/li>\n<li>Composite coordination drawings for the infrastructure, kitchen ceiling and coordination sections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Technical Highlights \/ Deliverables<\/h2>\n<h3>Technical Highlights<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Five condensing units serving ducted and split indoor units<\/li>\n<li>Grease interceptor and submersible pumping for kitchen drainage<\/li>\n<li>Full pre-construction coordination to reduce site rework<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Deliverables<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>HVAC layout for kitchen and restaurant (Rev01)<\/li>\n<li>Kitchen ventilation layout<\/li>\n<li>Kitchen water supply layout (Rev01)<\/li>\n<li>Drainage layouts: kitchen and toilets, and infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Infrastructure fire fighting layout<\/li>\n<li>Composite drawings: infrastructure, kitchen ceiling and sections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A beach restaurant on Egypt&#8217;s North Coast with a 153 m\u00b2 kitchen.
